First a little history lesson. In 2008 during the collapse of the Florida real estate market and the subsequent bankruptcy of the communities developer, The Bank of Pensacola took possession of all of the developers Banana Bay assets. The Bank of Pensacola made the decision to separate the Common Dock and Marina area from the control of the Homeowners Association prior to the turnover of the remaining common areas, roads and buildings to the Banana Bay Homeowners Association. Once the separation was complete, construction of the common dock and marina was accomplished.
The marina and boat slips are owned and managed by the Banana Bay Dock Owner's Association, Inc. (BBDOA), a Florida non-profit corporation. The Banana Bay Dock Owners Association manages, maintains, operates, and is responsible for all repairs to the Marina. Only Banana Bay Lot Owners may own a Wet Slip and be a Member of the BBDOA Association.
If you are using the marina please RESPECT the other owners property and please only use the slip area that is assigned to you. Fishing is allowed in the marina but again, only from your slip. Thank you for respecting the other slips and the owners' property.
Further information regarding Marina usage by residents and slip owners can be found in the Marina's governing documents. All questions regarding the Marina should be directed to the Banana Bay Dock Owner's Association.
